The plaintiff went into the attorney's office for an initial consultation on a vehicle accident. While seated at the conference table, the chair failed and the plaintiff fell backwards hitting and cracking two cervical vertebrae on a metal fish stand.
During the inspection, the chair was found to have been poorly repaired, which created a weak joint. The probe is used to demonstrate the existing nail holes are filled with glue.
The case went to trial, and a multi-million dollar verdict was awarded to the plaintiff. (West Palm Beach, 5/09)
